I can't login

My latest flights aren’t displaying
  • Please refresh the webpage
  • The Chrome web browser is recommended
My mission workflow status is showing as a red “X”, or saying “Failed”
  • There was an issue with the data that was uploaded. Please make sure you are using an approved DJI drone, all of the data was transferred from the drone to your phone then to the cloud, and that there are 10 or more pictures uploaded for the mission.
  • Please contact VDA with further questions
My mission workflow status is showing as a pink rotating circle, or saying “Data Processing” for the last few hours
  • Normally a mission will finish processing in 1 hour and you will receive an email notification on completion. When there is a heavy load on the system, there may be some delays in processing.
  • If you still have this mission workflow status after 12 hours, please contact VDA
My data doesn’t look good on the portal

Please make sure you are flying the building with the recommended settings in the VDA Drone App. Modifying these settings may negatively impact the results on the portal.

My roof wireframe doesn’t look correct
  • We have quality checks performed on missions within a 24 hour timeframe. If this mission was processed within the last 24 hours, please wait for our quality checkers to correct the issues.
  • If the mission was processed over 24 hours ago and the wireframe still doesn’t look correct, please contact VDA.
The orthomosaic and 3D model are not acting normally when I’m manipulating them. The screen is showing white sometimes or the data is not showing up on the completed mission.
  • Please refresh the webpage and check again
  • If this doesn’t work, please close your web browser, restart it, and reload only the VDA webpage
  • The Chrome web browser is recommended

I can’t change the section fields when editing or creating a template

Please reset your web browser zoom to 100% or less for this page

Can I fly flat roofs?

VDA Drone is designed for sloped residential roofs. If a VDA Drone flight occurs on a flat roof, the wireframe may not be created and the data output may be sub optimal. If you desire to use VDA Drone with flat and commercial roofs, please contact us at Support@VerifiedDataAnalytics.com

What drone models are compatible with the VDA Drone App?

The following drone models are compatible with the VDA Drone App: DJI MINI 2, DJI MINI SE, DJI AIR 2S, MAVIC 2 ENTERPRISE ADVANCED, MAVIC AIR 2, MAVIC MINI, MAVIC 2 ENTERPRISE, MAVIC AIR, MAVIC PRO, PHANTOM 4 RTK, PHANTOM 4 PRO V2, PHANTOM 4 PRO, PHANTOM 4 ADVANCED, PHANTOM 4, PHANTOM 3 PROFESSIONAL, PHANTOM 3 ADVANCED, PHANTOM 3 STANDARD, PHANTOM 3 4K.

I can’t login

The app is stuck on the “Loading” screen when I open it

Please close the app entirely and remove it from your running background apps, then re-open it

I see “Drone is not connected” after I have plugged the phone into the controller

Please make sure that the controller and drone are both turned on and that the controller is connected to the drone

When I tap “Authorize” it says “Unable to proceed with…”

In the area you’re trying to fly, we are unable to automatically request authorization for your flight in accordance with FAA regulations. This can be for a variety of reasons which are not under VDA control. If you intend on flying this area, please follow all applicable laws and regulations.

My “Firmware Status” is red and says my firmware is not up to date

This means that your DJI drone, controller, or drone battery may not be using the latest version. Please update your drone, controller, and batteries in accordance with the DJI Support guidance

My drone keeps disconnecting or won’t stay connected
  • It is likely the cable connecting the controller and phone is defective. Please purchase a new connection cable between the DJI controller and your phone, then try again.
  • Recommended iPhone cable linked here

My drone stopped the normal scanning process mid-flight and is acting odd
  • Fully close the VDA Drone app and take manual control of the drone using the DJI controller to safely land the drone.
  • It is likely the cable connecting the controller and phone is defective. Please purchase a new connection cable between the DJI controller and your phone, then try again.

I can’t see my drone camera in the app
  • Please unplug and replug the cable from your DJI controller to your phone. Also make sure that the controller and drone are turned on and are up to date with the latest versions
  • If this doesn’t work, please exit the app, close it from the running background apps and restart the app 
  • If this issue continues, please contact VDA
I pressed the green play button, but the drone isn’t taking off

Please use the exit button in the app and return to the flight page. Wait for 10 seconds, then try the green button again.

After the flight completed, the drone never transferred the photos to my phone
  • Please keep the drone and controller on and connected to your phone. Then return to the mission list and select the 3 dots on the version of the mission you just flew. Select “Re-transfer” and do not exit the app or shut off the phone screen until the transfer is complete.
  • After the photos are transferred to your phone, you can select “Re-upload” to then upload the data to the cloud for processing
There are trees or buildings in my suggested flight path and the drone can’t complete the flight

Please return to the mission and edit the flight path, modifying the parameters to avoid the obstacles, then restart the flight

I’m receiving an error message and can’t move forward

Why did my flat roof mission not process normally?

Why did my drone take-off, then return to home after arriving at the first photo point?

Your drone was likely taking a video already, so it could not take a photo successfully. This can happen by accidentally pressing the video capture button on the drone controller. Please restart the drone & controller, fully close and re-open the app and try again without pressing any buttons on the drone controller.

VDA Pro App

I can’t login

Please close the app entirely and remove it from your running background apps, then re-open it

The “Upload” button is grayed out and I can’t use it

Please go tap the 3 lines in the upper left corner, then unselect “Auto Upload”. Now try to upload the report again and the “Upload” button should not be gray anymore

My report didn’t upload
  • Please make sure you are connected to WiFi or have a strong cellular connection. Data is required to upload.
  • Additionally, do not close or exit the application during the uploading process
  • It is recommended that you upload 1 report at a time when uploading multiple reports
I can’t edit the templates

Template editing is only available on the VDA Web Portal for Company Admins
